Egypt vs Uruguay Preview

This is the second match in the tournament in the opening act on Day 2. Following the opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia, both sides will be desperate to begin Group A in a positive style. For Egypt, this is a very big deal since this is the Pharaohs first FIFA World Cup match for nearly three decades. After the shoulder injury suffered by superstar Mohamed Salah, it has been something of a melodramatic build-up for Egypt.

The South Americans impressed at the last two World Cups, and ending most notably fourth in 2010. But, Uruguay is already two-time World Cup winners and that’s something that Egypt has to have on mind. Uruguay’s qualifying campaign was mixed at times, and yet they always bring their famed Charrua spirit to big occasions.
