FIFA WORLD CUP RUSSIA 2018. Group A. Most Important Players
Hosts Russia is the opening team against Saudi Arabia on the 14th of June in the Luzhniki Stadium in FIFA World Cup 2018.
Saudi Arabia gave the strong attack game thanks to Mohammed Al-Sahlawi even they are the underdogs in this group. He scored a record of 16 goals during qualifications.
Egypt and Uruguay are the other two teams in this group. Egypt took the best goal scorer Mohamed Salah with them to Russia and Uruguay is attacking alongside with talents like Cavani and Suarez.

Saudi Arabia always had a problem with their players experience out of the domestic league. They lacked European experience, so as a plan to solve this issue was to send the majority of their players off to Spain on loan so they can get to play and improve.
Mohammed Al-Sahlawi is experienced goalscorer and a player with an impressive record of 16 scores goals in the World Cup qualifying campaign, which was a feat matched only by one other player, Robert Lewandowski.

Mohamed Salah is the first African winning the FWA Award, also winning the PFA football player of the year in a single season. He is now a part of the highly classified football profiles such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez. Mohamed Salah is the footballer which led to Egypt being part of the World Cup in 28 years, after scoring the two goals against Congo. Salah’s trickery, pace and goal scoring will be very important for Egypt for a successful representation. He had a brilliant season in Liverpool, in which he will end up as top scorer in the league.
#3 Edinson Cavani – Uruguay
Edinson Cavani and his very consistent play and record scoring goals may be the highlight of the World Cup this year alongside with Suarez as a duo. Capable of unlocking any defense in Russia he promises a lot of goals.
#4 Igor Akinfeev – Russia
Igor Akinfeev is the best pick for Russia in the World Cup this year. Even though Dzagoev was one of Russia’s favorites with his injury-plagued year couldn’t achieve consistent results so he wasn’t the best option.
The quality and the experience of Igor Akinfeev are promising, and his magical way of moving makes him part of this list. He can also add to the bloopers in the game but shining with his capabilities is crucial. So if the hosts want to last in the tournament a part of the responsibility is onto Akinfeev to shine.
