Robert Lewandowski stays in Bayern, no transfer for Madrid

Niko Kovac, the manager of Bayern Munich has ruled out that the player is leaving the club this summer. Rumors have been swirling around that Man United and Real Madrid are interested in his signature for their clubs. First has been hinted by Kovac that Lewandowski’s current employers aren’t ready to part way with him, even if he may want to go elsewhere.

They said: “There’s nothing new with Robert, it’s clear that he will not leave this club because we have a top striker and we certainly do not want to relinquish him or give him away. Robert has a contract—I do not know how long—and he will certainly stay as long as possible here.”

But there have been some quotes from Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi that were included in Malam’s article. He says that Robert feels like he may need a change and definitely a new challenge in his career. His motives are not to join a specific club or related to money, and that Bayern’s managers know all about it.

Later on, Marca wrote that Lewandowski has a specific club on his mind and that Robert is dreaming about of a move to Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Madrid is in search to bounce back from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.

Lewandowski left his agent, Cezary Kucharski of 10 years, so he can join up with Zahavi in February this year. But seemingly Bayern and Kovac are not interested in selling him.
