How Our Football Predictions Work

BetPlusWin brings together automated football selections, match information and statistical summaries. This guide explains how those outputs are produced, how combo tickets are selected and what the numbers can and cannot tell you.

How Match Selections Are Generated

The prediction system runs separate calculations for match results, both teams to score, over/under 2.5 goals and other supported markets. Available outputs are saved against the fixture together with their generation time and supporting data.

A consistency step checks the main selections together. For example, a home win combined with BTTS Yes requires at least three goals, so it cannot also describe an Under 2.5 outcome. Correct-score suggestions are adjusted to fit the final main-market selections.

Some markets are therefore connected. A correct-score or half-time/full-time suggestion should not be treated as independent confirmation of the match-result prediction. The system also uses rules that align the half-time/full-time suggestion with the selected result scenario.

What a Probability or Confidence Figure Means

A displayed estimate expresses the system's assessment of a selection. It is not a verified historical win rate, a promise of profit or a guarantee that an individual match will follow the prediction. Assess each market separately and compare the selection with the available match information.

What Goes into the Written Match Analysis?

Where the necessary records are available, the analysis system assembles context from league standings, recent form, goals scored and conceded, home and away records, player rankings and reported absences. Formation information may come from available lineup records or recent matches.

The written summaries are generated automatically using rules and text templates. These contextual summaries are separate from the market calculations: mentioning a player or formation does not mean that every prediction applies a specific numerical adjustment for it.

Full analysis has additional availability checks. A fixture must be upcoming, with standings available for both teams, at least five matches played in those standings and sufficiently recent standing updates. As a result, some fixtures may have selections without a full written preview.

Coverage can differ between competitions. Missing injury information does not prove that a team has no absences, and a recently used formation is not a confirmed starting lineup.

How Four-Match Combo Tickets Are Selected

BetPlusWin can publish up to two combo tickets per UTC day. Each ticket contains four different fixtures, and a fixture already used in one of that day's tickets is excluded from the next ticket.

  • Fixtures must be scheduled and not started, with kickoff later than the configured minimum lead time and within the same UTC day.
  • A supported selection must have a usable probability estimate and matching odds from the configured bookmaker.
  • Odds must pass freshness checks and fall within the configured odds range. Selections must also meet the configured minimum probability.
  • Eligible candidates are ranked by their stored probability estimate. Only one selection per fixture is retained, and tickets are formed in complete groups of four.
  • Fixture status and kickoff time are checked again immediately before publication.

There may be fewer than two tickets, or no ticket, if there are not enough eligible fixtures. The system does not fill an incomplete ticket with matches that fail those checks.

Published Odds and Combined Odds

The selections and odds are saved when the ticket is published. Combined decimal odds are calculated by multiplying the four recorded prices. Those recorded prices may differ from the odds currently offered by a bookmaker.

The product of the odds is not the probability of the ticket winning. A higher combined price does not establish that an accumulator offers better value.

How Combo Results Are Displayed

Combo selections are evaluated using the recorded regular-time score, including stoppage time. For fixtures marked as finished after extra time or penalties, the system requires the regular-time score before it can settle the selection.

  • A losing selection makes the ticket Lost.
  • A cancelled fixture is marked Void, with that leg contributing odds of 1.00 to the adjusted total.
  • A ticket with all four legs Won or Void is marked Won, unless every leg is Void, in which case the ticket is Void.
  • Postponed, suspended, abandoned or unresolved fixtures await a usable result rather than being automatically recorded as wins.

Displayed statuses depend on the fixture data available to BetPlusWin and can change as records are updated or corrected. These are website tracking rules; a bookmaker may apply different settlement rules.

Updates, Limitations and Responsible Use

Ordinary match predictions can be replaced when the generation process runs again for that fixture. They should not automatically be treated as an immutable archive of pre-match selections. Published combo tickets separately preserve their selected legs and recorded odds.

Football outcomes remain uncertain. A red card, a lineup change or an unexpected match event can alter the game. League percentages describe the displayed sample; they do not guarantee the result of the next match.
