Juan Mata could be leaving Manchester United for Valencia?

Reportedly Juan Mata could depart Man United on a free transfer and return to former club Valencia in La Liga. But it has been said that this transfer is going to happen the next summer. According to some sports news reports the Spain international is yet to agree on the new deal with the Red Devils since his current contract is about to expire at the end of the campaign. Mata has played four seasons with Los Che and winning Copa del Rey with the club in 2007-08.Juan Mata Manchester United Valencia

He has survived the last two seasons since faced with the arrival of manager Jose Mourinho, who sold him soon after returning to Chelsea from Real Madrid. Mata has remained a regular fixture in the first-team squad and has adapted to the Special One’s pragmatic ways. Unfortunately, with his performances at Man United failing to catch the eye, he has been dropped out from Spain’s squad for the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

After seven years spent in England, Valencia wants to tempt the player to return to his homeland, even though Mata and United have already “initial talks” about the new deal that’s about to keep him at Old Trafford. At the Theatre of Dreams, the forward player is right now on a 130.000 Pounds week salary, but the La Liga outfit would struggle a bit to compete with this figure if a transfer fee was needed to be paid.

The player remains hugely popular in Manchester since he has already embraced the culture of United and he has a clear mutual respect for supporters in the Stretford End. But as the game in England is starting to become progressively faster it does feel Mata’s career in the Premier League is coming to an end. He used to occupy a position in the right channel for Mourinho but he doesn’t have the physical attributes to play as a genuine winger.

Mourinho has shown that he kept his faith in Mata watching him consistently giving his all for his team-mates, so he realizes that he could extend his career at the highest level by returning to Spain. He knows he will have more time on the ball in the La Liga.
