PSG reportedly after Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic

Reportedly Barcelona is in the market of signing Barcelona’s world-class duo of midfielders that have been targeted by PSG, Sergio Busquets, and Ivan Rakitic. It has been said that both Blaugrana men are on the Ligue 1 champions wanted list. It has also been mentioned that Busquets has reportedly agreed on improved terms at the Camp Nou. While Rakitic in his E125million deal worth has a buyout clause and it’s possible that Ernesto Valverde will be open to selling the Croatian international than he would be his star holding midfielder. Going after the two stars that are in their primes and highly thought of by Valverde it is ambitious of PSG making that move. Even though Rakitic strikes as the more replaceable of the Blaugrana pair. Without bringing in any replacements as things stand PSH have lost several midfielders this summer. Javier Pastore joined AS Roma, Thiago Motta has retired after six years in Paris and Grzegorz Krychowiak moved to Lokomotiv on loan. Marco Verratti is almost guaranteed to start for Thomas Tuchel’s side, and Adrien Rabiot’s future is unclear after he turned down a new contract and could run down the final year of his deal. The French heavyweights have a more seasoned option in Lassana Diarra, 33, as well the youngsters Christopher Nkunku, 20, Antoine Bernede, 19 and Yacine Adli, 18. It will be obvious that Rakitic and Busquets would demand a starting spot ahead of all these players, but the difficulty comes in convincing Barcelona to sell these powerful players. Joining Barcelona as a teenager in 2005, after stints in other academies, he took time to find his way in the club as a youth. Similarly, Rakitic has just won a runners-up medal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and is still thriving in Barcelona. Both of them have contracts due to expiration in 2021, even though Busquets has the option of extension of his deal by a further two years. There is little more than a week remaining in the transfer window so let’s what will happen.

Chelsea talks for Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a loan move

Chelsea midfielder Cheek will reportedly be holding talks with the club to determine his first-team chances this week, under the new manager Maurizio Sarri. If he can’t get the assurances he seeks it has been rumored that it will be with a loan exit. He has been given to play at Crystal Palace on loan and Loftus-Cheek has enjoyed a successful season. But, reportedly he will ask to leave again if Sarri can’t promise him a better chance at Stamford Bridge. In Chelsea’s season-opening win over Huddersfield Town, the London native came on for a 20-minute cameo. For the Saturday’s 3-2 home victory over Arsenal, he was dropped from the squad. This summer Jorginho’s arrival from Napoli has only increased competition in central midfield. Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella pointed out Loftus-cheek was far from the only Blues star to have missed out against Arsenal. Selected by Gareth Southgate for England’s 2018 FIFA World Cup squad the22-year-old had the chance to play and that moment must have born the big expectations for the season to come as a result, but somehow Sarri doesn’t appear wholly convinced about the player yet. Although Loftus-Cheek favors a more central attacking midfield role, Mateo Kovacic’s arrival at Stamford Bridge brings another unwelcome competitor. Loftus-Cheek has some need to build on that momentum after gaining Premier League experience on loan to Palace last term, but to do so at Chelsea without any guarantees could be definitely perilous.

Liverpool reportedly gives Loris Karius on a loan to Besiktas

With Liverpool said to be in “advanced” talks with the Turkish side Besiktas, Loris Karius is reportedly close to a two-year loan move. According to some news, the deal would also include a clause to make the move permanent. Karius move would bring an end to the transfer speculation surrounding Simon Mignolet, according to Maddock, as manager Jurgen Klopp will only sanction the departure of one goalkeeper. With the arrival of Alisson Becker this summer, Karius has lost the status as the Reds No. 1 stopper. After Karius blundered away in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid the club invested in the Brazilian. Karius made two crucial mistakes in the 3-1 loss. The mental errors have plagued him throughout his career in Liverpool, even though he has heaps of physical talent. Many have wondered and questioned how will he recover from the UCL final loss, with some suggesting that maybe having some fresh start would be the best thing for him right now. In the Turkish League, Besiktas stumbled to a fourth-place last year and they lack a class goalkeeper in their squad. If this move went through Karius would easily be their top option in goal and with plenty of time left before the end of the transfer window, Besiktas should find a way to convince the player. In the final round of Europa League, the Turks will face Partizan qualifying on Thursday.

Chelsea reportedly offering a deal to Eden Hazard amid Real Madrid, Barcelona rumors

Chelsea bidding to secure the future of Eden Hazard will reportedly offer a new contract of a 300.000 Pounds per week amid all the speculations that he is wanted in the La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. The Blues want to reopen talks with the winger according to some sources after their negotiations have been paused over the summer as he helped Belgium getting the third place at the FIFA World Cup. Even he is contracted until 2020 it has been said that Hazard is very welcome of the possibility of signing for either Real or Barca. In this season’s Europe’s premier competition the Blues will not feature, and this is the second time in the last three campaigns they have not taken part. They are facing a tough battle to qualify for next year’s edition as one of six teams competing for four places. It doesn’t change the possibility that Hazard could join Barcelona or Real Madrid this summer as the Spanish transfer window is open until the end of the month. For now, the player has shut down talk of an immediate exit. Offering a new contract to him would put the Blues in a much stronger position to at least maximize his value in the transfer market or just to keep him, but convincing him to sign may be the difficult part. If they secure Champions League football for next season and if they can show progress under new boss Maurizio Sarri they’ll have a good chance to tie him down, but having a failure on either front will likely push him toward leaving.

Filipe Luis reportedly wants to move from Atletico Madrid to PSG

Filipe Luis, the fullback of Atletico Madrid reportedly has an offer coming from PSG and has told Diego Simeone’s side he wants to complete definitely the move to the French champions. The Brazilian defender according to Marca wants to leave before the Spanish transfer window closes on August 31st. According to new sources, it has been reported that PSG offered him a three-year deal “some time ago”. On Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup win over Real Madrid, the 33-year-old was left on the bench for Atletico Madrid. Luis broke his leg in March so Hernandez filled in for Luis last season, so he was a part of the team that won the 2018 UEFA Europa League even though Luis had returned to fitness in time for the final. From this position, a move for Luis would make sense because he is an experienced international who could slot straight into the team. For the French side, however, he is clearly not a long-term option, because if he were to depart from Atletico, he would leave the club short of backup options for Hernandez. It appears to be the exact way that Jonny Castro Otto has been loaned to Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for the season.

Reality check for Juventus and Ronaldo as Bernaedeschi finally cracks Chievo

Reality check Juventus Ronaldo

On his debut for Serie A, Ronaldo failed to the net as the reigning champions were forced to dig a bit deeper to win 3-2 in Verona against Chievo. We have already seen the impact that Ronaldo had already made on Serie A off the field after just weeks in Italy. In Verona, on Saturday the time has come for him to make an impact on the field too. Pele sent a good luck tweet, the whole world was watching. In Serie, A hosts Chievo had finished 13th last season and Ronaldo’s salary was three times their entire wage bill. It’s just that Juventus didn’t look strong at all yesterday. Frederico Bernardeschi, in the end, was the savior of the game. The winger came off the bench to set up one goal for prodigal son Leonardo Bonucci before netting the winner himself, in injury time. With Juve producing inconsistent performance made all the more puzzling by the fact that they had been gifted a dream start, the win was barely deserved. After just three minutes of play, Sami Khedira pounced on a loose ball in the box to open the scoring. Juve had the most possession of the ball by the end of the half but did very little with it. With Douglas Costa, Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadrado all supporting Ronaldo in the attack, he was a little bit short on service. But Cristiano has been presented with few clear-cut openings and he still went close to scoring with a shot from just inside the area on the half-hour mark, but the ball has rolled the wrong side of the right post. That has proved a costly miss, as Chievo leveled just before the break and having their first score. Then, they also scored with their second. Cristiano Ronaldo tried to rescue the game on his own as he has done so many times before during his entire career for both club and country. He started attacking the Chievo goals with shots but Bonucci has leveled up and kind of making that hardly possible for this game particularly. Ronaldo very nearly won a penalty seconds later but the referee correctly ruled that he had been fouled outside of the area, as the stage was set for Ronaldo to bag the winner. Alberto Zaccheroni sagely pointed out amid all the hysteria and hype surround the arrival of Cristiano on a very down to earth way by saying that he will experience some difficulties at the beginning, which the title race is not a foregone conclusion and Ronaldo will not score in every game. He clearly said that he remembers even Michel Platini has suffered a lot during his first year in Italy. This was a strong reminder that Serie A is not to be underestimated.

David Ospina from Arsenal joins Serie A Napoli on a season-long loan

David Ospina Arsenal Napoli

After the arrival of Bernd Leno earlier this summer the 29-year-old was always expected to leave the club, demoting him to the role of third-choice goalkeeper. Now he will have the chance to impress in Serie A and even to earn lucrative permanent transfer next summer. The Gunners used the same tactic with Wojciech Szczesny, who starred on loan with Roma, now playing for Juventus. This summer Napoli lost Pepe Reina to AC Milan and has invested in Alex Meret. Also,  they have added veteran Orestis Karnezis to help ease the new role that has been given to the 21-year-old. In pre-season Karnezis looked shaky at best but however, explaining this late move for Ospina. As Colombia’s national goalkeeper for years, Ospina has been a steady performer but have never fully convinced at the Emirates Stadium. Including his solid run in the UEFA Europa League, he was mostly used in cup matches last season, while Petr Cech played the bulk of the Premier League minutes. To make the move permanent, according to some sources the loan includes an option worth 4 million Pounds. Meret’s development all likelihood will determine whether or not the Partenopei use said option next summer.

Miralem Pjanic signing new Juventus contract amid exit rumors

Miralem Pjanic signing new Juventus contract

Star midfielder Miralem Pjanic and Juventus have reportedly agreed to a contract extension amid speculation about his future this summer. Pijanic has continued to develop as a player after he signed for the Italian champions in 2016, and he is one of the key figures in the Bianconeri side. It’s been said by Gianluca Di Marzio that he is set to commit his long-term future to the club despite rumors a move may be on the cards. Earlier this week according to an Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla it has been reported that the Bosnia and Herzegovina international’s father was spotted in Turin. We all know what that means, an indication that a renewal was close. The contract Pijanic at Juventus runs until 2021, and now the new deal will see the player’s annual salary jump from E4.5 million to E7 million. Including the signing of the high-profile acquisitions of Cristiano Ronaldo and Leonardo Bonucci, Juventus has completed a lot of big business in the transfer window this summer. So keeping men like Pijanic is very important for a club like Juventus. In his own right, Pijanic can be a game changer. He has so many attributes to show on the field, and one of them is his pedigree from dead-ball situations is outstanding. Pjanic can distribute some good balls and he can drop deep, venturing forward with the ball and has the ingenuity in possession to create chances for team-mates. Having someone with this type of magic in their boots that provide the supply line will be so beneficial, for players like Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala and now Ronaldo. Serie A transfer window is set to close on Friday, so Juventus getting someone in to replace Pijanic would be difficult. So if Pjanic signs the new deal with Juve, the club would want to see him press on again and potentially become one of the best midfielders in the world in the peak years of his career. If he can do this the Italian champions have it in them to dominate on all fronts this term.

AC Milan agree on an E40M deal for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio

Reportedly, AC Milan is on the verge of completing a deadline-day move for the solid midfielder of Lazio, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. According to some Italian newspapers, the Rossoneri have agreed on a deal with a worth of E40M with Lazio for the Serbia international to move to San Siro on a loan for a season with an option to be bought. For signing new players, the deadline for Serie A is on Friday, 7 p.m BST. Milan will pull off a major coup if they capture Milinkovic-Savic as Real Madrid, Juventus and Man United have all been linked with this player too. According to some new sources, Milan’s offer to Lazio for the Serbian player is structured in such way as to comply with financial fair play rules. This contract could culminate in the Rossoneri shelling out a further E70M if they want to sign him permanently. Producing consistently good performances that led this player to his linking with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, Milinkovic-Savic has enjoyed a breakout season in 2017-18. He provided three assists in 35 Serie A appearances and netted 12 goals. He also showed a range of attributes boasted by only the most complete central midfielders. He would join a squad that has already been bolstered this summer by Gonzalo Higuain’s addition and definitely he will be a fantastic addition to Milan’s engine room.

Julen Lopetegui says that Super Cup defeat will not prompt more Real Madrid signings

According to Julen Lopetegui, Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup match with Real Madrid’s 4-2 extra time defeat to Atletico Madrid will not alter the club’s transfers policy. So far this summer Los Blancos have been quiet in the transfer window despite the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Per Movistar, Lopetegui hinted there will be no late splurge from the Madrid outfit. The defeat of Real by their city rivals in Estonia has definitely marked an inauspicious start to Lopetegui’s competitive tenure after he has been named the successor of Zinedine Zidane earlier this summer. Los Blancos were first leading, and just after the hour when Sergio Ramos made it 2-1 from the penalty spot following the goals of Karim Benzema and Diego Costa. Then with 11 minutes of normal time remaining Costa equalized before Koke and Saul netted in the extra time to condemn the UEFA Champions League holders to a defeat. The absence of Ronaldo was noticeable. Real are really suffering without the best player in the world who averaged 50 goals a season in his campaign with the club. The only summer addition to the club is Thibaut Courtois that Real has made so far, who is likely to imminently break into the first team at the Santiago Bernabeu. An exciting attacking prospect is teenager Vinicius Junior, but if Real are planning to replace Ronaldo adequately in 2018-19 without making any new signing, some of the current first team are going to have to step up. Marco Asensio, Gareth Bale, and Isco will need to improve their goal scoring contributions, since the defeat in the Super Cup is hardly a disaster for Lopetegui give it is, to all purposes and intents, an exhibition match. However, the Real Madrid campaign gets underway on Sunday’s match against Getafe. Questions will start to be asked about how Los Blancos and Lopetegui will fare in 2018-19 if Real Madrid doesn’t claim an easy victory.

Sebastian Rudy can leave Bayern Munich, says Niko Kovac

Midfielder Sebastian Rudy can leave the Bundesliga champions according to Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac in the summer transfer window.  He said that Sebastian is a player who really wants to play a lot, but that the club already is really well-catered with numerous top players in that position in midfield. Because they all cannot play at the same time, it makes sense that he wants to leave the club. Rudy was playing for the Germany squad this year at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. He, however, has struggled to command a regular place in the Bayern team since the time he arrived from Hoffenheim last summer. The player made only 16 Bundesliga starts for Bayern with competition for places fierce. His international hopes weren’t affected by the lack of his playing time, as he was selected by Joachim Low for the World Cup. Germany has failed to make it out of the group stages and it was a disappointing campaign for them, unfortunately. However, Rudy put in a strong showing despite only seeing limited game time for Die Mannschaft in Russia. He also said that he wants to stay and fight for his place in the team, early this summer. Lothar Matthaus, Bayern Munich legend has spoken about this subject and clearly said that it would be a huge mistake for his former team to sell the midfielder. Even after the good and wise words Lothar Matthaus shared in his column Kovac’s comments suggest that Rudy will see little game time this season. Before the transfer window closes Rudy has decisions to make at the end of the month over whether to stay and fight for his place or just move on forward. At 28 years he would prefer to play more regularly even though the thoughts about him leaving Bayern are that this is likely to be a step down for Rudy.
